All film transferring includes

Film Formats include

Standard 8mm film, 8mm wide, frames at 3.8mm pitch, sprocket holes between the frames

Super 8mm film, 8mm wide, frames at 4.25mm pitch, sprocket holes opposite the frames

16mm film, 16mm wide, frames at 7.6mm pitch, sprocket holes between the frames

Film length markings are often found on the reel flanges for a rough guide of film length.

  • Regular/Standard 8mm – 16 fps silent speed 9.6 min/100ft  –  24 fps sound speed 6.4 min/100ft
  • Super 8mm – 18 fps silent speed 6.6 min/100ft  –  24 fps sound speed 5 min/100ft
  • 16mm – 18 fps silent speed 3.7 min/100ft  –  24 fps sound speed 2.8 min/100ft
